  • The peel is applied topically. The entire procedure should take approximately 15 minutes. You will feel a slight tingling and heat sensation for a few minutes which subsides after STEP 4 application (All-trans-Retinol Complex).

  • The skin peeling, associated with The Perfect 10 Peel, is light to moderate, yet substantial and visible. Peeling generally starts 2-3 days after the peel, and should take about 7-10 days to completely peel and heal. You can start the antioxidant moisturizer the evening of the peel and continue until peeling is completed.

  • The Perfect 10 Peel’s results will last as long as your skin is maintained with a proper Skin Care Regimen. The Perfect 10 Peel can be performed monthly.

  • Yes, the skin will be more sensitive during the active peeling and healing period (approximately 7-10 days). It is recommended you use an antioxidant moisturizer and sunscreen to protect your skin during this time and avoid direct sunlight. Soothing Recovery Ointment or 1% Hydrocortisone product may be recommended as necessary, depending on your level of sensitivity and dryness.

  • • Avoid direct sun exposure

    • Wear a physical sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher, daily

    • Avoid pulling on flaking/peeling skin

    • Avoid scratching and rubbing peeled areas

    • Avoid aggressive scrubbing agents such as loofahs or gritty facial scrubs, and picking, scratching or rubbing your skin

  • • Patients who are nursing or pregnant

    • Patients with rosacea, atopic dermatitis, seborrhea, connective tissue diseases (ex. Scleroderma), active inflammatory acne

    • Patients prone to keloid formation and patients that have active herpes or warts

    • Patients undergoing radiation and/or chemotherapy treatments

    • Patients who have previously not tolerated topical retinoids and alpha or beta hydroxy acid products
